About

Mariana Etienne is original from Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Born in September, 22, 1991. She is a digital art and multimedia business graduate from the Center for Higher Learning of Design Monterrey Mexico. She studied in this institution from 2011 to 2015, working on different roots of Digital Art such as short film, tv commercials, web design, social media, photography, painting, new media and technologies.

In the year 2012 she studied a Summer Intensive Program in Digital Photography and Video in Parsons School of Design New York. New York provided her the visual inspiration to explore themes and develop narratives using still photography, create short films, photography series and a photography blog: she likes the same bizzaro crap.

Also in 2012 she began collaborating as a Blogger for one of the most important Design Blogs of Mexico. Designaholic.mx is a full-blowndesign blog that focuses on showcasing both international and national designers, reporting live from design fairs, generating original content and useful tools for it's readers.

Loving photography, and the new digital marketing, in the year 2013 she began as an independent Social Media Manager. She started managing the SM ofLa Nacional  & Gallo71. Two of the most important restaurants in Monterrey, Mexico.

To restart her creativity, in 2014 she went to Barcelona to study two intensive summer courses in ELISAVA Escola Superior de Disseny i Enginyeria de Barcelona. Trends Laboratory and Resolutive Thinking Laboratory.

No matter if you are creative or not, you need to be one step ahead. You need to be relevant, evolve or die. Get inspired and you will find new ideas, differentiate yourself, be competitive. Trends have a consequential impact on culture and society. There are a lot of tools that help us to be aware of these trends: websites, blogs, books, magazines, etc. Don’t wait for it; trends are not going to magically come to you. The point is that you need to go find and identify them for working with them to create a product or service that’s relevant and updated with everything that’s going on around you. This course opened my eyes, it helped me to mature and to experiment a personal and professional growth. Thank you ELISAVA, I leave totally inspired!
